proper.deals is a discount code and deal discovery service operated by Revivers Software Limited. We help users find the best prices and discount codes for brands and products. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR.

What we collect and our lawful basis

Session ID — a random identifier (UUID) stored in your browser to remember your chat history and restore it if you return. It contains no personal information.
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (providing core service functionality).

Chat messages — the messages you send and the responses you receive, stored so your conversation persists between visits.
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (providing and improving the service).

Approximate location — we derive an approximate city-level location from your IP address to surface locally relevant deals. Your IP address itself is not stored. Location data is stored only as a broad geographic cell (approximately 250km²) — not precise enough to identify an address or individual.

Click and interaction events — when you click a deal link or copy a discount code, we record which offer was interacted with, your session ID, and a timestamp. This helps us understand which deals are useful and improve our service.

Email address — only if you voluntarily sign up for deal notifications. We use this solely to send you relevant deal alerts. You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time by emailing
privacy@revivers.uk and we will remove your address promptly.

What we don't do

- → We do not use advertising trackers or share data with ad networks
- → We do not store your IP address
- → We do not build profiles tied to identifiable individuals
Third-party processors
We use the following third-party services to operate proper.deals. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by appropriate data processing agreements:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting and database infrastructure. Data is stored in the EU (eu-west-2, London region).

OpenAI — used to power the AI assistant. Your messages are processed by OpenAI's API to generate responses. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this processing.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie (deals_sid) to store your session ID. This cookie is strictly functional — it is what makes the "remember my chat" feature work. It does not track you across other websites and is not shared with any third party.
Data retention
- → Chat sessions — retained for up to 6 months, then deleted.
- → Interaction events — retained for up to 12 months for analytics purposes, then deleted.
- → Email addresses — retained until you withdraw consent. To unsubscribe, email privacy@revivers.uk at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

- → Request correction of inaccurate data
- → Request deletion of your data
- → Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- → Withdraw consent at any time (for email notifications)
